Chaska Heights Senior Living is located one mile north of Highway 212 off of Highway 41 in Chaska, Minnesota. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our gorgeous 136-unit, apartment-style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services. Position: Chef/Cook

Hourly: $17.50/hour - $22.50/hour, depending on experience

Service Area: 3120 N Chestnut St N, Chaska, MN 55318

Schedule: Full-time PM, benefit eligible

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.  

Duties include:  

  • Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.  

  • Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.   

  • Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.  

  • Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.  

  • Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  

  • Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.  

  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.  

  • Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
